This Privacy Policy explains how MyCareerBot handles student data when you use our app and website in India.
1. Scope and controller
MyCareerBot is an education app for students after 12th and campus placement prep in India. Contact support@mycareerbot.in.
2. Information we collect
- Profile details (class, board, stream, subjects, goals, campus stream).
- Assessment, practice, aptitude progress, career matches, Placement Ready Score.
- College & Career Plan inputs, saved paths, share/export content.
- Placement tracker and resume-builder fields you enter.
- Optional college batch link and readiness snapshots.
- Payment/entitlement references for unlocks (not full card data).
- Optional Google/Apple account identifiers.
- Plan context sent to servers when generating AI narrative explanations.
3. How we use information
- Provide career guidance, college planning, and placement prep.
- Show streaks, practice, readiness scores, and daily actions.
- Deliver College & Career Plan shortlists and optional AI narratives.
- Process unlock purchases and restore entitlements.
- Support optional college batch readiness reporting.
- Maintain reliability and respond to support requests.
4. Local-first storage
Core data stays on your device. Sign-in may sync selected data for restore, leaderboards, or purchases.
5. Ads, payments, and third parties
Light ads may appear on the Practice tab for free-tier users. Optional unlocks: College & Career Plan and Placement Pro. iOS uses Apple IAP; Android uses Razorpay. Sign-in is deferred until needed.
6. Disclaimers
College predictions use historical cutoff data and do not guarantee admission. Not affiliated with JoSAA, NTA, or MCC. Placement tools do not guarantee employment.
7. Permissions
- Internet: sign-in, purchases, AI narrative, batch sync.
- Notifications (optional): reminders you enable.
8. Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. Limited sharing only as needed for processors, auth, opted-in college reports, or law.
9. Retention and deletion
Request deletion via contact. Local data is typically removed by uninstalling or clearing app data.
10. Children and families
Parents/guardians should supervise usage where appropriate.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards; no method is completely secure.
12. Your rights
- Access, correction, or deletion support via contact.
- Disable notifications anytime.
- Use core offline features without an account.
- Opt in or out of college batch sharing where offered.

Updates are reflected by revising the date above.
